Mineral Project: 80 FOOT FALL PROPERTY
Location: Larder Lake Mining Division, in the Marter and Chamberlain Townships, Ontario Canada
Deposit types: Gold
Ownership: Option to earn 100% (subject to a 2% NSR)
Size:

Seven claims

Access:

From the town of Englehart, 35 km southeast of Kirkland Lake, along Highway 11

Status: Ground follow-up, mapping and sampling to delineate drill targets  in 2008

Highlights

The 80 Foot Fall property is located 28 km south-southeast of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, and 500m south of the Link-Catharine property.
Three historical drill holes intersected several quartz –pyrite veins.
One drill hole intersected a vein system that assayed 0.72 g/t Au over 0.73 metres. A second 3.0 metre zone of quartz vein and massive pyrite band was also intersected. Gold values were low in this intercept.
An old timbered shaft remains on the property.

Overview

The claim block is due south of the Link-Catharine property and it straddles the favourable Round Lake Batholith-Wabawawa Group volcanic rock contact. A summary report dated March 18, 1981 covers the results of three short diamond drill holes that were drilled to test two old gold discoveries.

A quartz vein zone on the east bank of the Blanche River was tested to determine if the structure extends to depth. The drill hole intersected numerous bull quartz veins. The width of the zone is not recorded and no significant gold assays were returned.
Two short holes were drilled to explore a vein on which an old timbered shaft still remains. The extension to this vein was not intersected, but the drill holes encountered another vein system that assayed 0.72 g/t Au over 0.73m. A second 3.0 m wide zone of quartz veins and massive pyrite band was also intersected; gold values were low.

The early discoveries and subsequent intersection of new zones of mineralization are interesting from the perspective of potentially discovering additional occurrences.
