Vancouver, November 4, 2009 - Golden Dawn Minerals Inc. (the "Company") (TSX-V: GOM) announced today that Mr. David Dobson resigned as CFO of the Company as of November 1, 2009. Mr. Dobson is handing the position of CFO to Mr. Jayram Hosanee who will manage the financial affairs of the Company out of the Vancouver office. Mr. Dobson will remain on the board of Directors and as a member of the Audit Committee of Golden Dawn.

Mr. Jayram Hosanee FCCA, CGA, CFE, CIA brings to the Company a plethora of experience gained from a wide range of industries including mining, financial services and manufacturing in both listed and private entities. Mr Hosanee has extensive knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Sarbanes-Oxely, and Internal Controls.
